“Brief History of the
Temple” Our
Kuldevi Mataji’s Old Temple had been situated at Mendarda
for about seven generations (17 to 18 decades) in a small room of
a private house which was owned by one of our Nathwani Family. Though
with a middle-class economic back-ground, they could carefully maintain
temple with great faith and reverence and welcomed all worshipers
coming from local and Alidhra, Rajesar, Keshod, Junagadh, Mumbai
etc. places. They cordially guided Nathwani Families visiting the
Temple to fulfill their rituals, similarly took care very well,
till the life time of Nagjibhai Manjibhai Nathwani and his kind
natured wife Smt. Muktaben, whose two sons inherited the house.
From them the elder one Ratibhai decided to donate his half part
to our Nathwani Charitable Trust and younger one Dilipbhai agreed
to take a reduced token price only for his part. Thus, the way for
constructing of a new temple had been made easier.
As inspired by Shree
Kuldevi Mataji, Vasantbhai Veljibhai Nathwani from Rajkot arrived
at Mendarda in the year of 1990 A.D. for the Holy Vision of Shree
Mataji. Considering the very old condition of the temple and the
house, he immediately pledged to make efforts to reconstruct it
getting possession of the place. This noble decision was conveyed
as possible to Nathwani Families, they warmly welcomed the idea
and a trust was formed, it was registered on 13th October 1990 as
Nathwani Charitable Trust at Mendarda with the objectives of construction
of a new temple, Community Hall and Social Services to peoples,
cows and birds.
